The search for creativity, and my desire to LARP

When I was a young lad, I would spend a good portion of my time alone in my room. The television would be on (usually cartoon network or nickelodeon), but it would be on in the background while I took part in various activities. To tell you the truth, my memory of the things I did for fun while in my room is blury. I would get inspired by things on television, and pretend to be various characters in a plethora of fictional scenarios. As I grew older, life became less about play, and more about socialization and work. The peak of my social life was from about 17-24. After that, it hit a wall, and I've started to consider a new era of "play". But now play is writing, reading, studying, working out, making/practicing music. What else could "play" be now as an adult? Truthfully, that question is what lingers on my mind all the time.

When you are free to do as you like, what is the best thing to do?
